J is for Joy

I wish I was a poet. I would be better able to describe how I am feeling. Right now, Joy seems to sum it up best.

I just got done talking to my son on the phone for the first time.

I can't even top that statement, so that is all. :)

addendum 3.27.03

I forgot to add my new favorite term...

War Porn - a term that was used to describe the news coverage, especially on CNN. Seen here.

Scattered

My brain is all scattered this morning. I've got a bunch of links for everyone.

Who are the bad guys?

These guys sound pretty bad-ass. Not in a good way. I was reading a news article last night at school that talked about Iraqi soldiers claiming that they were being shot if they did NOT fight. Damned if you do, dead if you don't.

There are a lot of protests lately...

I don't have a lot to say about them really. I had a million thoughts yesterday as I was driving to and from work...words that would have made yesterday's entry much more powerful. Unfortunately, I don't edit after I post (well, unless there is some grave spelling/typing error that makes me look like a complete idiot!) Actually, I don't even feel like giving them any links. I'm sure that if you want to know about them, you can find information in any local paper. Manhattan had a big die-in this morning. I'm over it.

Spin Spin Sugar...

Who is telling the truth? I was flipping channels this morning and the talking heads were discussing the facts that our bombs (the big ones) would have obliterated the market. Instead, there was 'some' damage and about 15 casualties. According to the linked article, we didn't bomb that area on that day. The Iraqis though, they say we are intentionally bombing civilians. The powers that be claim that Iraq is placing their own citizens in peril by hiding armament and other assorted fun stuff in schools and hospitals.

I'm going to go outside now and plant some flowers, breathe some cool, fresh air and try to clear my head.
