Chatting, presents and weather

I slept in until 11am this morning! Oh how nice it was! I don't have to go into work until 5pm which makes things even better.

I spent the better part of my coffee time this morning talking with my little sister online. I scared the cats numerous times with my laughing. Oh how I wish we lived closer together. Even just something within driving distance....or hell, even the same half of the United States would be nice! Everyone in our family is East of Texas and here we are, way up in the wilds of Puget Sound.

I spent a little bit of time yesterday looking through more boxes for the missing Christmas stuff. I found more lights for outside, the stockings that we bought in Korea and some of the old ornaments that we had while in El Paso. I still haven't found the tree-skirt, the extra lights or the ornaments from Korea. Hopefully John and the WildChild can find them tonight.

Speaking of the WildChild, John had some news for me yesterday when he came home for lunch. It seems she "found" her big Christmas present. The one present I didn't wrap. She claims she was looking for one of the cats in my closet. I'm not sure if this is the whole truth, since the cats do like to hide in the back of my closet during the day. Either way, she found the PS2. I think we'll end up just pulling it out this weekend and playing with it since she already knows about it. John and I both are dying to play and were just waiting for a night when she spent the night at a friends house. We'll probably go buy another controller, memory card and games this weekend and entertain ourselves.

The weather sucks ass, but at least we don't have snow yet. The passes have been pounded with snow which is a good thing for the ski resorts around here. I almost wish it would snow....but not until the afternoon of Christmas Eve when I'll be safely home and not required to go into work for another eight days.

This has been a Holidailies entry...meaning I probably wouldn't have written a damn thing today but I must keep up my "every day!" policy.
